The L.A. Works MLK Legacy Workshop and Mural Planning Session, a component of our Hands On Schools Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day of Service Project, was a celebration and reflection on the life of Dr. King! Over 25 youth volunteer leaders from the Chaka Khan Foundation came together after school to listen to the words of Dr. King and formulate their own ideas about what "Living The Legacy" means today.

The students were charged with creating drawings that would inspire the L.A. Works muralists to design the three murals to be painted at Charles R. Drew Middle School on January 15, 2007.
