Save the Date

L.A. Works Day 2004, L.A.'s largest day of community service, will take place downtown on June 5th. The day will begin and end at California Plaza, and in the course of the morning we'll branch out throughout the greater downtown area to assist schools, shelters, playgrounds, and any place that can benefit from the hard work of over a thousand volunteers! If you're interested in becoming an L.A. Works Day sponsor, forming a team of volunteers, or joining a planning committee call (323) 224-6510 for information.

NBA Teams with L.A. Works

Members of the L.A. Clippers were among the many volunteers at the NBA All-Star Painting Project held

at the Cypress Park Boys and Girls Club during the last few weeks. The NBA and Home Depot worked together with L.A. Works to create this special project in conjunction with the NBA All-Star game taking place in Los Angeles. Along with painting and general renovation, the team of volunteers are helping to construct a brand new computer literacy center with equipment donated by Dell.
