Now's the time to make a new year's resolution about volunteering.

There are over 50 projects available for sign-up on the website at www.laworks.com




L.A. Works Volunteers brighten the holidays for children in shelters.
Here's some tips to finding the projects you're looking for:

1) Use the Member Center!
Click on Member Center on the left menu to have access to your account,
your projects, and your volunteer history.
From there you can see all the projects, courses and special events you are
signed up for. If you need to cancel from a project, just click the "Remove
Me" button.

2) Keep your personal info up-to-date!
Click on the Personal Information tab if you need to change
your email address, have moved, or what to update your interests and skills.


3) Use the calendar features to find the project that's right
for you!
Click on Project calendar in the left menu. In the calendar
view you can find projects specific to certain age ranges by dropping down
the "Filter by Project Attributes" filter. Only the projects that
meet your criteria will be shown on the calendar. Or, use the "Filter
by Impact Area" filter to find projects that support causes that appeal
to you.


4) Use the Search Projects section to find exactly the projects
you are interested in!
Click on Project calendar in the left menu. Now select the "Search
Projects" tab. From here you can search for projects by region or
zip code, or for even more options, click on Advanced Search. Here
you can search for courses that match your interests and skills.
Special Peace Corps Information Session

The Peace Corps is offering a special information session for L.A. Works
volunteers on February 19th. Join us to learn about overseas volunteer
opportunities with the Peace Corps and how your L.A. Works volunteer
experience might make you specially qualified. For more information, look
