What is an L.A. Works Day Team?
A
team is a group of 10 or more people who wish to work together
at the same project location on L.A. Works Day. These are often
corporate or civic groups.
If
you are a small handful of individuals, or a family that wishes
to work together, you don't need to form a team. Just have
each individual pre-register for the event on our website, and
show up at check-in together. We'll ensure you are sent to the
same project.
For
groups of 10 or more who wish to work together, it is preferable
to form a Team. L.A.
Works will assist you in creating, managing, and registering your
L.A. Works Day team on-line.
How do I form a team?
First
-- Download full instructions on creating
and managing your team. Fill out and return the included L.A.
Works Day 2004 Team Information Sheet as soon as
possible. When you return it to the address on the bottom of
the sheet, you'll receive an email confirming your team has been
created for you.
Additional
Team Resources
Once your team has been created for you, you can either manage
your own team,
or let L.A. Works simplify the process for you. We'll assign
all your team members to your team, and sign them up for the
event if you submit a simple team roster.
Click
here to download an excel spreadsheet for use in submitting
your team roster. Email the completed roster to larry@laworks.com and we'll sign up your entire team for you!
Is there a cost for a team to participate in L.A. Works
Day 2004?
If
you team is a sponsor of the event, your registration fees will
be waived. If you are not a sponsor, each member of your team
must bring a check for at least $25 made out to L.A. Works to
check-in on the morning of June 5. If they prefer, they
can pre-pay on-line. We will have a link for on-line payment shortly.
Please Note:
All volunteers will be asked to sign a waiver at California Plaza
on the day of the event and children under 18 must have the waiver
signed by a parent or guardian. For convenience, the waiver is
printed in the registration form of the event brochure.
